Take the kids to a spa!

I have two young girls (aged 6 and 10 respectively)  who are both very keen on looking and feeling good, (like any other modern kid)… They love fashion, clothes, make-up and are fascinated by beauty parlors and now their latest fad (god help us) is health spas and holistic treatments! Yes, that’s right, my kids love health spa treatments…(so do I of course and it’s all my own fault for bringing them along to a treatment)  but those clever spa owners made it simply irresistible to us by offering a free session for under 12 year olds (accompanied by a paying parent of course) Such wily marketing, we didn’t even see it coming…

So now, our girls ask for spa treatments every weekend… (good grief, the expense, we thought) we simply have to limit them to an hour or two a month which is still setting us back over £50 but it’s worth it to see the looks on their little faces when we treat them. So far they have tried sauna, massage, facial treatments with various herbs and concoctions from the east, volcanic ash treatments, meditation and yoga, Indian head massage you name it, we’ve let them try it… They both absolutely love being pampered and fussed over, they get foot massages, hand massages, finger and toe nail painting, and their hair done, exfoliation, OMG they even want to work in a spa now…we shall see about that, they still have the pop star phase to go through yet...

Seeing as we live in the Manchester area it really was a no-brainer finding a spa in Manchester that  caters for and welcomes families and young children so we tried a few 30-minute tasters and found ourselves a great health spa and relaxation complex within 2 miles of our house. The rates seem very reasonable and they have fantastic facilities. Perfect, and we love it! Finally, we have found something we all enjoy together that gets us all out of the house and we even come home feeling (and looking) better as well!

If you are looking for something a little different you and your family can enjoy together, look no further, just try it, it is wonderful. You come out feeling refreshed and invigorated and it’s not as expensive (if you shop around) as you might expect. There are so many wonderful treatments to choose from, you will never be bored and it can do wonders for your sense of well being as well as knock years off of your appearance, especially around your face and skin generally. People have been doing this for literally thousands of years and we have only just found out, but we sure are glad we did, it's helped bring us all together as a family and given our girls something to look forward to that the other kids at their school could only dream of (actually they have been giving their friends vouchers) they should be on commission.
